In-Person Active Shooter Survival Training

A.L.I.V.E. In-person active shooter training courses are for organizations and businesses and designed to teach participants how to survive a violent attack in any setting. A.L.I.V.E. stands for **Assess, Leave, Impede, Violence, and Expose**. These are the steps that anyone can take to more effectively respond should they ever be confronted with an active shooter situation, terrorist attack, violent attacker in the workplace, and other potentially deadly events. The courses are suitable for individuals, businesses, organizations, places of worship, schools, and security professionals who want to increase their survival skills and confidence in the face of violence.

A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival Training Program Objectives

After engaging in an in-person A.L.I.V.E. presentation, participants will be better able to:

  • Understand the causes of these incidents, as well as the mental process an assailant goes through both before and during an active shooter event
  • Identify behaviors and red flags that may signal that an active shooter incident is likely to occur
  • Develop a survival mindset and enhanced situational awareness, both of which contribute to an effective active shooter response
  • Survive an active shooter incident by following the A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival Plan

Those who receive A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival Training are also better prepared to help train and instruct other employees – whether those who were unable to attend the initial training session or future staff – ensuring that everyone is on the same page if an active shooter event arises. This alone can increase survival odds by working as a cohesive team in which everyone knows what to do (and does it without the need for discussion) speeds the active shooter response.
