"Michael Julian has written an excellent book. Practical, detailed, and a potential life saver if you find yourself in the midst of a targeted attack."

Why Every Company and Organization Needs Active Shooter Training
In today’s workplace environment, safety isn’t just about fire drills and first-aid kits. Unfortunately, active shooter training is required. Active shooter incidents are no longer rare, and they can happen in any business or organization—regardless of size, location, or industry.
According to the FBI, active shooter incidents in the U.S. have more than doubled over the past decade, with many occurring in office buildings, retail spaces, and public venues. The reality is simple: when violence erupts, your employees and team members need to know exactly what to do—because every second counts.
That’s where A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival Training comes in.
What Is the A.L.I.V.E. Method?
A.L.I.V.E. stands for:
- A – Assess the situation
- L – Leave if it’s safe to do so
- I – Impede the attacker if escape isn’t possible
- V – Violence as a last resort to survive
- E – Expose your position only when safe
This simple, step-by-step approach replaces panic with purpose and equips people with the confidence to act quickly under extreme stress.
The Benefits of Active Shooter Training for Companies & Organizations
✅ Faster, More Decisive Response
Untrained individuals often freeze or make dangerous mistakes in high-stress moments. Training ensures your team knows how to assess, decide, and act within seconds—potentially saving lives.
✅ Reduced Liability and Risk
Providing safety training for your staff isn’t just good practice—it can also reduce legal exposure by showing your organization took proactive steps to protect employees and visitors.
✅ Improved Workplace Morale
Knowing your company has a plan for emergencies builds confidence and trust. Employees feel valued and protected when they see management investing in their safety.
✅ Better Coordination with Law Enforcement
The A.L.I.V.E. method teaches actions that align with how first responders operate, improving communication and speeding up the transition to safety when police arrive.
✅ Preparedness Anywhere
Whether your team works in a corporate office, manufacturing plant, retail environment, or public facility, A.L.I.V.E. training gives them skills they can apply anywhere—not just at work.
Why A.L.I.V.E. Training Works
Unlike generic “lockdown” drills or one-page safety memos, A.L.I.V.E. training is:
- Scenario-based – Realistic simulations that prepare people for real-world decision-making
- Memorable – Simple steps that can be recalled instantly, even in panic
- Empowering – Shifts the mindset from fear to action
- Flexible – Works in any environment, with any number of people
Organizations that implement A.L.I.V.E. report greater confidence, faster emergency responses, and improved safety culture across the board.
Protect Your Team Before It’s Too Late
Waiting until after an incident happens is too late to prepare. The best time to train is now—before your organization ever faces a threat.
At A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival Training, we help companies and organizations develop a culture of preparedness through proven, practical training that saves lives.

"As a retired 32 year law enforcement veteran, with several years of SWAT and tactical experience, I learned some different unique perspectives as it pertains to civilians dealing with active threat situations. Very good class for civilians who may have never experienced reacting to a life and death stressful situation."
